South Holt's home varsity and JV baseball games today against North Platte has been cancelled. The ballfield in Forest City is too wet. A make-up date is unlikely, but efforts will be made to reschedule.

South Holt is holding our Spring Music Programs tonight in the main gym. 3rd-6th Graders perform at 6:00 p.m. 7th-12 Graders perform at 7:00 p.m. Elementary students should report to their classrooms at 5:45 (6th Graders report to the band room). See you tonight!

The South Holt varsity baseball team wins at North Nodaway on Tuesday night by the score of 15-0. The Knights' win secures a 275 Conference Championship, the first in baseball for South Holt. Go Knights!

We have several students with negative food account balances. Please contact the Elementary Office if you have questions about your child's food account balance. Balances must be paid prior to the last day of school.

The South Holt varsity baseball team picks up 2 more wins on Monday by beating Albany 10-0 and beating Osborn Stewartsville 16-1 in a doubleheader. Great Senior Night! Go Knights!

Update.....Tuesday's baseball game at North Nodaway has an adjusted start time based on forecasted poor weather on Tuesday evening. The game will now start at 4:00pm in Hopkins. Varsity only. Baseball bus will now depart at 1:30pm from South Holt.

Update.....Tuesday's JH and HS Conference Track Meet has been adjusted and moved up on start time based on forecasted poor weather on Tuesday evening. Coaches meeting now at 9:30am. Field events now at 10:00am. Running starts now at 12:00pm noon. Bus time will now depart at 8:30am for South Holt.

Varsity baseball now plays a doubleheader tonight to make-up a game. South Holt will play Albany at 5:00pm. Then there will be a Senior Night event for baseball and track between games. Then South Holt will play Osborn Stewartsville after the Senior Night event. Varsity only tonight. No JV.

Standardized testing (MAP Grade-Level testing) for 7th and 8th graders at South Holt starts on today (Monday, April 29th). Tests: 7th grade Math and 8th grade ELA in the morning. Then 7th grade ELA and 8th grade Math in the afternoon. South Holt hopes for good attendance and good effort!

South Holt Elementary is scheduled to complete MAP testing this week. See the image below for the days that each grade is scheduled to test. Students may bring a small snack on days they test.

We are fortunate to have Mrs. Sarah Kurtz as a 1st Grade teacher at South Holt. Mrs. Kurtz participated in the Missouri Teacher Academy this school year. Mrs. Kurtz had the opportunity to work with and learn from exemplary teachers from our region, as well as across the state. Mrs. Kurtz collaborated with other educators to enhance her already exemplary practices in the classroom. She culminated this experience yesterday with a presentation to fellow Teacher Academy participants and area leaders. Thank you for being a life-long learner and bringing your expertise to our 1st Graders. Great job, Mrs. Kurtz!

South Holt's JH track meet at Worth County today has been cancelled. This track event will not happen today.

Due to wide-spread power outages in St Joe there is no school in the St Joe School District. So South Holt will not be sending vo-tech students to Hillyard today. Those students will report at 10:45 to South Holt.

South Holt Varsity baseball won 6-4 on Monday night over Rock Port. Great conference win! And then the JV won 6-5 in walk-off! Go Knights!
