Today's JH track meet (4/8/21) at East Atchison has been cancelled. The meet will not be made up. Our coaches will communicate with thier athletes about practice.
The Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments is updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan for Holt County. They are in the process of gathering public input for the plan. Tuesday, April 6th will be a busy day for South Holt athletics. High School Track and Field will compete at King City as an alternate site for the Travis Girratono Relays beginning at 2:00 pm. Junior High Track and Field will compete at the Mound City Quads beginning at 4:00 pm. Finally, South Holt baseball will compete at Forest City against Platte Valley at 4:30 pm.
Just a reminder that South Holt Hillyards students will not be in session tomorrow, Monday, April 5th.

Tomorrow's baseball game at Forest City will be Varsity Only. The game will begin at 4:30 pm. No concession will be available for this game, so please plan accordingly.
Today's Varsity Track Meet will occur at North Platte High School in Dearborn, MO. All Field events begin at 4:00 pm with races to follow. The North Plate track has regulations that no spectators will be allowed inside the fences. Please bring lawn chairs to provide seating.
Tonight's baseball game (South Holt vs. West Nodaway) will occur at 4:30 pm in Burlington Junction, MO, near the city park. Three innings of JV baseball will follow the varsity game.

Mrs. Nester and Ms. Showalter’s classes stopped in to learn more about Recycling. Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments brought great knowledge to our community and students. Recycle, Reduce, Reuse!

On Monday, March 29th Northstar Advocacy Center will provide developmentally appropriate sexual abuse training to students in grades 6th - 12th in accordance with South Holt Board Policy 2742. This is a newly approved policy that will be an annual requirement. Each grade level will be separated with different age-appropriate presentations. The presentation will consist of: Instruction in recognizing sexual abuse, instruction in reporting incidents of sexual abuse, instruction in actions that student-victims of sexual abuse can take to obtain assistance and intervention, and instruction in resources that are available to students affected by sexual abuse will be presented. Students may be excused from this presentation with a written request from the parent or guardian by no later than 8:20 am on March 29th. The South Holt FFA and FCCLA will host a community blood drive today from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Walk-in's are welcome. All visitors, please check in through the main high school enterance and sign into the office during school hours. After hours visitors can enter in through the main gym enterance, no sign-ins needed.
