There will be Senior Class Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 29th at 6:00pm in the school lunch room. This meeting will share important information and dates led by class sponsors. A parent for each South Holt Senior is highly encouraged to attend this meeting.
South Holt is off to a great start! Today and tomorrow are early dismissal days. Students will be dismissed at 1:00. Elementary car riders should be picked up on the elementary playground side of the building. When picking up students, please remain in your vehicle while in the circle drive. Students will wait on the sidewalk with school staff until their vehicle pulls around to the sidewalk. These procedures help maintain safety of staff and students during dismissal. If you wish to pick up your student in person, please park on the street on the west side of the school and walk down the sidewalk to meet your child. Thank you for helping maintain safety for all students and staff during dismissal.
South Holt starts the school year tomorrow morning! Looking forward to the first day! Some notes....1) Breakfast starts at 8:00am with classes starting at 8:24am. 2) Both Monday and Tuesday are 1:00pm Dismissal days. 3) Please return any singed forms and paperwork. 4) Lunch is hamburger with sides. 5) JH & HS kids will have classes meeting at 9:00am. 6) Juniors students need to bring back the concession stand form. The 2023-2024 school yearbooks are printed and are available for pickup tonight at South Holt's Back to School Night from 5pm-6pm. You can also purchase a yearbook if you didn't preorder. The table will be set up near the high school office.
South Holt is hosting Back to School Night tonight from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. All families are welcome to come in and meet their teachers, drop off supplies, make food account deposits, purchase activity tickets, and more. We are excited to see our students this evening! It's going to be a great year at South Holt!

Any JH football player coming in for registration can get their football equipment from Coach Scheuerell between 1:00pm-3:30pm. See Coach Scheuerell in his classroom or in the boys locker room area.

South Holt has Preschool openings for the upcoming school year. Contact the elementary office with questions. Roundup for all enrolled preschool students will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m.
South Holt is holding Kindergarten Roundup for all incoming Kindergarteners on Monday, August 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the South Holt School Library. All families with incoming Kindergarteners are encouraged to attend. During Roundup, families will get to meet South Holt Staff, learn about school routines/procedures, ask questions, and meet future classmates. Contact the Elementary Office at 660-446-2356 if you have questions. If you have not yet enrolled, we will have enrollment paperwork to complete that night. We are excited to start this adventure with our incoming Kindergarten Knights!

South Holt High School sports programs begin practice on Monday, August 12th. Practices are as follows: Cross County @ 7am by the school library doors; Volleyball @ 1:00pm-3:30pm; Football @ 3:30pm-6:00pm. In addition the fall lifting program begins on Monday, August 12th at 6:30am.
JH sports practices begin on Monday, August 19th.
***To participate in practice, a student must have a valid sports physical on file. Contact Mr. Quinlin by email if you are unsure on sports physicals. quinlint@southholtr1.com
