
The Knights Varsity Baseball Team defeated Rock Port 8-6 in their season opener. The Knights are back in action Friday night in Forest City. Go Knights!

South Holt begins their varsity baseball season tonight in a non-conference home game against Rock Port. The game is at the Forest City Park and the first pitch is at 4:30pm. After varsity there will be 2-3 innings of a JV game. Good luck Knights!

The Winter Sports Reception for South Holt winter sports will be on Thursday, March 23rd at 7:00pm in South Holt main gym. The event will recognize varsity boys basketball, varsity girls basketball, varsity cheer, and varsity wrestling. Coaches will speak and then there will be light refreshment and snacks after. Families and community members are all welcome to attend.

3rd Quarter Report Cards were sent home with all elementary students this afternoon.

The 3rd Quarter grade cards for 7th-12th grade students were given to each student today. Please be looking for that paperwork for JH and HS students.

The High School Scholar Bowl meet scheduled for tonight at Tarkio is postponed due to weather. Rescheduled day will be shared later when set.

Tomorrow (March 15th) is Group Picture Day for all elementary students and all spring sports. Please remember to send your picture form to school on Wednesday.

South Holt Elementary celebrated Missouri Read-In Day today. We had a great day with some buddy reading, a book cover art content, and special guest, Will Stuck. Ask your kids to tell you about Will Stuck and his silly stories. Look for more pictures to post on the South Holt Facebook page later this weekend. Thanks to PTO for sponsoring Will Stuck, and 6th Grade Student Council for planning a great day!





The South Holt Elementary PTO Meeting Scheduled for this evening has been cancelled. We will work to reschedule this meeting at a later date.

Next week is Missouri Read-In Day. South Holt Elementary Students will celebrate all week with various activities. We encourage all families to take time to share some books or stories together. Check out the information below for dress up days to celebrate "Soaking Up a Good Story."


Mr. Ottman took time out of his day on Thursday to share a story with Miss Russell's first grade class. The first graders loved their story time with Mr. Ottman!

South Holt Second Graders worked with BlueBot robots during technology class last week. Students worked with Mrs. Anderson to learn about and explore coding.





Reminder: All elementary students are attending the live production of Willy Wonky and the Chocolate Factory at the Missouri Theater in St. Joseph this week. 1st through 4th Grades attend today. Kindergarten, 5th, and 6th Grades attend tomorrow. All students will have their regular lunch shifts at school. Contact the elementary office with any questions. Junior High track starts Monday, March 6th under the direction of Coach Schulte. Remember that 6th graders can also participate and were told this info yesterday in class.

High school track starts Thursday, March 2nd after school under the direction of Coach Morris.

High school baseball starts Monday, February 27th after school under the direction of Coach Scheib. Players will meet in Coach Petersen’s room and then practice at school on Monday.
