South Holt Elementary is celebrating our last week before Christmas Break with some festive dress up days. Thanks to our 6th Grade Student Council for planning these days. All students are welcome to participate in these holiday dress up days on December 12-16.

South Holt had a visitor today. We are so glad that the Grinch's heart grew 3 sizes before he visited the staff and students at South Holt!
The JH boys play their last game of the season on Thursday, December 8th at 5:45pm at the Tarkio Activity Center. The opponent is Rock Port. The bus leaves at 4pm from South Holt. This game is part of the 275 JH Tournament.
Reminder: PK-2nd Grades will have their music program tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the main gym. All family and community members are welcome to come out and celebrate with our students.
After School Bible Club is Christmas caroling this week. The kids will go to the Oregon Care Center. They will then sing at the Nativity on the Square. Kids will end with a celebration at the Christian Church (204 South Washington). Parents should pick children up at the Christian Church at the regular time.
The South Holt Fall Sports Reception will happen tonight at 6:30pm in the main gym. This event is for varsity football, varsity volleyball, and cross country. All athletes and parents should attend. Community members are also welcome. Drinks and snacks will be served after the brief presentation by coaches.

South Holt PK-2nd Grade will have their music program on Wednesday, December 7. Students should report to their classrooms at 6:45 p.m. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. All family and community members are welcome to attend. See you Wednesday evening.
South Holt 3rd-6th Graders are going to Bode Ice Arena on Thursday, 12/8. Students will skate from 12:00 to 2:00. All students must have a signed permission slip to attend. Permission slips are due back at school tomorrow. Students must return to school on the bus unless signed out by a parent/guardian. Sophomore students will tour Hillyard Technical Center in St. Joseph on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Students need to arrive at South Holt to board the bus departing at 6:45am and will return with HTC students at 10:50am. There will be no costs associated with this trip.

The Mound City varsity basketball tournament wrapped up the last two days. The girls team lost on Friday evening to Rock Port. The boys team beat Mound City on Saturday evening. Go Knights! The varsity teams play next on Friday, December 9th at home against Maysville.
The next game of the 275 Conference Tournament for the South Holt JH boys is on Monday, December 5th at Craig HS at 8:15pm against Osborn/Stewartsville.
The South Holt JH basketball teams played a few games in the 275 Conference Tournament today at Jefferson HS. The JH boys played 1 game and won over Platte Valley. The JH girls played 2 games today. The girls lost to Mound City and also lost to Platte Valley. Unfortunately the two losses end the season for the JH girls. Great work this season girls! The JH boys play next in the 275 tournament on Monday at Craig HS at 8:15pm against Osborn/Stewartsville.
