Today all of the JH and HS students will go to an assembly at Mound City and will travel there in school buses. JH will go in the morning and HS will go after lunch. JH will be gone from 8:50-11:15 and HS will be gone from 12:10-2:45. The assembly features speaker Russ Tuttle and he will talk about Social Awareness and Tips to Help Students in our Digital World.

The Second Harvest Food Drop is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14. Vehicles may line up behind the school to participate in the food drop. All are welcome.

South Holt will be playing basketball tonight at Jefferson HS against Platte Valley. The bus now leaves at 3:30pm. JV boys will play at 5:30 followed by varsity girls and varsity boys. A free live stream video link will be shared in a bit for those not able to make it to the game. Go Knights!

South Holt will not send Hillyard Vo-tech students to St Joe on Thursday or Friday morning as SJSD does not have school. Hillyard students should report to South Holt at 10:40am on both Thursday and Friday.

I hope you have had a fun time in the snow and gotten your fair share of exercise from shoveling the foot or more of snow! This used to be the norm when I was a kid. School will be in session tomorrow and it is a cold one, so please bundle up. Bus drivers will communicate any route changes with you but if you have concerns about turnarounds please reach out to Matt Kreek at First Student at 660-442-5111. The South Holt pep band will not be attending the basketball game tonight and playing. Those pep band members are excused from playing, but can still attend the game as spectators.
