High School EOC testing will begin this week at South Holt. Today our Freshmen will begin the Algebra I test this morning and our Juniors will take their Government EOC this afternoon. Wednesday, our Freshmen will take the second session of the Algebra I test and our Sophomores will begin their first session of English II. Thursday our Sophomores will take their Biology EOC and then complete the English II EOC later that day. Please remind all students to continue to bring their laptops to school fully charged each day. Any student that missed out on a session of MAP testing for JH last week will have their make-ups this week.
Please remember that Senior Night will occur for our Spring Sports tonight between the varsity and junior varsity baseball games in Forest City. Parents, please be on site by 5:00 pm this evening.
The Elementary Spring Concert will be on Wednesday, April 28th at 6:00pm in the main gym. This concert will feature the singing of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. This event will be open to parents and adults from outside the building as it is happening outside the framework of the school day. Social distancing will be expected.
The water is back on. There is a boil order from Cleveland street east to Monroe st, all of Monroe street, all of S Ridge, S Washington and Palmer Dr. please call city hall if you have any questions.
The city will be shutting off the water to South Washington, South Ridge, and Palmer Dr. The water will be off temporarily and a boil order will be in place when it comes back on. Call City Hall with questions. Thank you.
The South Holt FFA will hold their annual plant sale this morning beginning at 8:00 am.
It was reported that an earlier message did not go out to our families. Tonight’s baseball game at King City has been cancelled. We will alert families about any changes to the schedule at a later date.
Today's baseball game at King City has been cancelled/postponed. A make-up date will be looked at and announced. Also, no baseball practice today.

The Washington Street water shut off was canceled.
South Washington street in Oregon will not have water from 1:45 this afternoon until later tonight. We will notify you when the water is back on.
South Holt spring sports will honor their Seniors on Tuesday, April 27th between ballgames at Forest City. Parents of our 7 Seniors involved in Baseball or Track and Field, please plan to be at the ball park by 5:00 pm.

South Holt Athletic Awards Assembly Thursday, May 6th during 7th and 8th hours. The awards will be open to all 7th - 12th-grade students and take place in the Old Gym. Awards will be given to students in grades 9th - 12th. This event will be streamed on Facebook live for viewers at home. We will not open the event to parents and adults outside the building as an in-building school event per our Re-Entry Plan.
South Holt Academic Awards Friday, May 14th following the Senior's 2nd graduation practice. The approximate time will be 10:00 am - 11:38 am. The awards will be open to all 7th - 12th-grade students and take place in the Old Gym. This event will be streamed on Facebook live for viewers at home. We will not open the event to parents and adults outside the building as an in-building school event per our Re-Entry Plan.
Each event listed is a change from previous years, and the decisions to handle the awards assemblies in this manner were not taken lightly, but at this time and with limited open dates in the evening, this is our best option.
