South Holt First Graders visited Community Hospital-Fairfax yesterday. They learned about things that happen in the hospital. Thank you to CHF for hosting our students and providing them with a fun, authentic learning experience.

South Holt HS baseball is scheduled to play at North Platte (at Dearborn) today. Varsity and JV tonight with a start time of 4:30pm. The bus leaves at 2:30. This is the last JV game of the year. Varsity is scheudled to play on May 5th and May 10th in home games.

MSHSAA Sports Physicals....South Holt will be hosting South Holt Family Medicine for providing sports physicals on Friday, May 12th from 1:00pm-2:30pm. The fee is just $25. A student can sign up in the Information Center across from the HS office. Remember that sports physicals are now approved for 2-years cycles. If you are not certain if you need a physical, contact Mr. Ted Quinlin in the HS office.

Senior Night for high school baseball and high school track will be on Wednesday, May 10th at the Forest City Ballfield after the varsity baseball game. The approximate time will be between 6:00pm-6:30pm.
On Friday, May 5th the high school senior class will have a senior breakfast at 7:00am. This day is the seniors' last day. There will be a locker slam and dismissal about around 9:15am on Friday. Family and community are welcome to come to school at around 9:15am.

South Holt's baseball games tonight at Albany start at 5:00pm. There is varsity and JV tonight. Games are being played at Albany's City Park. The baseball field has no address, but is on the southwest side of Albany at the intersection of South Street and Birch Street.
Good luck to all 7th and 8th grade students as they begin Missouri's MAP grade-level standardized testing today. It will be a great 4-5 days of testing! And good luck to all elementary students that will wrap-up MAP testing this week. High School End-of-Course (EOC) testing will take place next week.

Some seniors were recognized at the Oregon Kiwanis on Wed, April 26th. There were 16 kids who received Kiwanis Academic Awards. In addition the Kiwanis group honored Outstanding Instrumentalist (Kenlyn Grove), Outstanding Vocalist (Katie McCully), Senior Outstanding Athletes (Zoey Prussman and Jayce Jackson), and Scholarship Winners (Kenna Markt and Lily Noel). Congratulations!
