Tomorrow is Frozen Friday in the elementary. $1.00 gets a student a frozen treat.
Sophomore students will tour Hillyard Technical Center in St. Joseph on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Students need to arrive at South Holt to board a bus departing at 6:45am and will return with HTC students at 10:50 am. There will be no costs associated with this trip.
Junior students will take the ASVAB career exploration assessment on Thursday, December 9th beginning at noon. This will happen at school.
Reminder…There is no After School Bible Club until January.
South Holt will have our South Holt Fall Sports Athletic Reception tonight beginning at 6:30pm in the main South Holt gym honoring our high school fall athletes. No meal, but cookies and refreshments will be served at the end of the event. All community and family members welcome!!
South Holt has 6 South Holt Football caps and 8 South Holt Softball caps for sale. They would make great Christmas gifts for all South Holt fans. They are $20 a piece. If interested please call Mr. Ottman at 446-2282 to buy yours.
Please remember to send coats with all elementary students. With the colder temperatures, we need all students to have a coat for outside recess. Elementary students have outside recess daily, even in cold temperatures. Thanks for your help and support.
South Holt Elementary is celebrating the season on Wednesday, December 8 with a Preschool through 2nd Grade Music Program. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. Please join us in the main gym or on YouTube to enjoy the program. To access the program on YouTube visit southholtr1.com and click on "South Holt Knights Athletics YouTube Channel." The video will appear as a sports event with the opposing team being "K-2 Music Program." Please contact the elementary office with any questions.

South Holt was unable to get ribs for lunch on Wednesday so we have had to make an adjustment to Wednesday's lunch menu. We will now have pulled pork sandwiches, fries, baked beans and an apple for lunch. Thank you for your understanding.

The South Holt JH girls WILL NOT play a basketball game tonight for the 275 Conference Tournament. And the JH cheerleaders WILL NOT make the trip tonight. Sorry for the last minutes changes. The JH boys will play and their game time is still at 5:45pm at Dekalb. The bus departure time is still 3:50pm. Both JH teams plan to play on Thursday at South Holt with times to be announced tomorrow.

This event will allow us to recognize our high school fall athletes in cross country, softball, football, volleyball, and cheerleading. On Monday, December 6th the South Holt JH girls and boys play basketball at Dekalb HS for the Second Round of the 275 Conference Tournament. Boys play at 5:45pm. Girls play at 7:00pm. Bus is leaving at 3:50pm.
Varsity Girls take 3rd in the MC Tournament, defeating Mound City 46-31. Go Knights!
South Holt Varsity boys take consolation in the Mound City Tournament, defeating Northland Christian 67-58.
JH Boys defeat DeKalb in the 1st round of the 275 Conference Tournament with a score of 47-24.
The South Holt varsity girls and boys basketball teams play in the Mound City Tournament on Saturday, December 4th. The boys play at 5:00pm and the girls play at 6:30pm. Good luck to all our basketball players on Saturday!
